Our History

Founded on September 19, 1991, Unicoi Detachment #783 proudly serves both Towns and Union Counties, GA.  The detachment derived its name from the area in which it was founded.

Our members come from diverse military and civilian backgrounds, and are united by a shared commitment to veteran support, community support and camaraderie.

Our mission is to uphold Marine Corps traditions, foster camaraderie, support Marines and Navy FMF Personnel (active duty, reserve and veterans), and promote patriotic volunteerism.
