Only persons who are serving, or who have served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, or United States Navy personnel attached to the Marine Corps, for a period of not less than ninety (90) days, and persons who are serving or have served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and have earned no less than ninety (90) Reserve Retirement Credit Points shall be eligible for regular membership in the Marine Corps League.
Proof of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps or United States Marine Corps Reserve is required in the form of Honorable Discharge, DD-214, active/reserve I.D., or other documentation that substantiates proof of service as a United States Marine, FMF Corpsman or FMF Chaplain.
You DON’T have to be a Marine to become a member of the Marine Corps League. Our Associate Members are made up of veterans from other military branches and citizens who want to share in the camaraderie and support our veterans. Upon acceptance, Associate Members pay the same membership fee as regular members, including initiation fees.
Once a member, they will receive a membership pin and membership card from National Headquarters. While Associate Members may NOT become elected officers (i.e., Commandant, Sr. Vice Commandant, Jr. Vice Commandant, or Judge Advocate). They can however serve as Appointed Officers (i.e., Adjutant, Paymaster, Chaplain, Aide-De-Camp, etc.) should they so choose.
